Top Positive Review

I have a very inquisitive, curious little toddler. He’s always trying to help in the kitchen, and is very meticulous in everything he does. I got him this knife for Christmas and he was elated. We had several lessons on how to hold it, how to store it, and how to use it and he really learned a respect for knives, which has helped in more ways then one. I obviously haven’t let him use it unsupervised, however, with mommy’s help he has cut different soft foods while we are meal prepping are preparing dinner. it gives him a huge sense of accomplishment and responsibility and I can see in his face how proud he is that he can use a utensil his cousins and friends can’t. I would NOT recommend this for any kid. My son is very calm and precise, if you have an excitable, high energy (i.i typical) toddler, I’d say wait till they’re older. For a calmer, more inquisitive kid though, it’s provided some great learning experiences, and a chance to feel incredibly independent and capable in a supervised environment.

This knife is super cute, and the concept is great!!!
However, until your kids are a pro-pro, it is too sharp to be used by them. I would rather prefer my home small cutting knife which has gone blunt rather than handing this over to my 5-6 year old.

We tested this against a tomato, which my little one likes to cut. Well it went through it without an effort.
Rest each is to his own.
For me I am returning the same. I wish they would have designed it to be little blunt rather than a pro-chef-kid knife.

Customer Questions & Answers

How can I get just the finger guard only?
Answer: You can find the peeler available on Amazon every once in a while. You can also check on our US website and US partners website. Thank you.

Is 10 years old too old for these knives?
Answer: We bought it for our 6 year old but as it is sharp and sturdy, I think a 10 year old could still use it.

Can a left handed kid use this knife? Thanks.
Answer: My kid is a lefty, he uses the knife without any problems.
