I used Bisquick Original Pancake mix. Use PAM to coat the mold before filling. To fill one mold it was 1 cup of the mix plus an egg, 1 cup of soy milk, and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (might help them come out a bit easier). Stonewall Kitchen Pancake mix is also supposed to be good with this. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, baked for 21 minutes (might try 22 minutes next time for more browning), cool a bit, dump out and trim out the jawline with a sharp knife. Our family scuba dives and these were a lot of fun!

Well, there is no way you are getting something to look the photos on the box! Hahaha! I posted what we ended up with. I guess they are okay, but not really worth the effort for the payoff. Used pancake batter and tried a couple variations to see if better results. Everything turned out about the same. I didn??t have any issues with the mold sticking/releasing, so in that aspect they worked.

Customer Questions & Answers

Could these be used for mini shark cupcakes? Or do you have to use pancake batter?
Answer:

This is a silicone mold so you can put anything in it you would like to bake. I’m not sure how cupcakes would turn out, so I suggest you give them a trial run first before planning a party with them. My guess is that the baking time to make the surface slightly brown would be a key to success. The detail of the shark f??

What will I receive? The description and picture show a corn shaped mold but all the reviews are for pig shaped dogs?
Answer: This listing is for the Corn shaped mold, as shown in the product listing pictures (above).

Is it nonstick?
Answer: No it is not non-stick you have to use some sort of oil. I tried to make these today they fell apart because they all stuck because I didn’t use oil

I got some johnson breakfast sausages to use for the ‘pig’. Do I need to pre cook those?
Answer: Yes. Cook the sausages, cut them up and put a piece in each pig mold.
