There are two things stopping me from giving this item a 5 star rating. The first is that it is because it is presented as a children’s toy. I do not recommend this for children unless they are solely going to be using this in a play kitchen and you want to sand and seal the items first. There were quite a few rough edges that I had to smooth out to avoid splinters right out of the bag. Beyond that, all but one of the items are very solid and well-made. I bought them with a home decor project in mind – and they were perfect for that purpose! I don’t think I could have found anything that would have suited the project better. Well…except for reason #2 why I couldn’t give 5 stars. The whisk was broken (one of the tines had cracked in half). At first I figured I would just glue it back together and that part could be hidden. Craft glue did not work. Hot glue did not work. Gorilla glue didn’t work. E6000 did not work. No amount of clamping would help. Letting it dry for a week didn’t work. I noticed a couple of other reviews said their whisk was broken too. Luckily, there are enough pieces for me to move forward without that one tool so it’s not worth trying to exchange it. Bottom line – if you are looking for a great small wooden kitchen set for crafting or DIYing (and don’t have your heart set on a whisk) – I highly recommend this one.

These are super cute and they came quickly. But four of them have already broken. I am so disappointed and don??t know what to do with them. Three of them the tops just came off and my daughter almost choked on one. And the whisk just broke within a day of using them. They are beautiful but more fragile than I was expecting.

Answer: They were smaller than I expected. My grandson does use them however.

Are these coated with anything or uncoated?
Answer: They are uncoated

What’s the age range for these cooking utensils.
Answer: We got these for our (then) 3 & 6 year old last Christmas and they love them. Recently, our 16 month old has started playing with them.
